Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 And Svartpilen 250 Unveiled For India! [IBW Update]

Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 and Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 are two motorcycles essentially based on the familiar KTM Duke 250

The decision of the Swedish company Husqvarna to set their balls rolling on the Indian two-wheeler market has been the most exciting news from the India Bike Week (IBW). Husquarna, owned by Ktm has declared their foray into the Indian market by announcing the ‘duo pilens’ – Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 which are expected to hit the roads by Feb 2020.

Just for those who are not familiar yet with the Husqvarna brand, we have this video over here !

Husqvarna’s own Swedish beauties, with a perfect mix of vintage elegance and modernity, seem custom made for the Indian rider minds, which, unsurprisingly enough, are always inclined to the neo-retro bike trends.

Vitpilen 250 comes in more of a cafe racer design which offers you a more aggressive ride while Svartpilen 250 goes for an urban scrambler-ish look, both to blend in with their 401 analogues in the International market.

Powered with a 248 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine letting out a maximum power of 30 bhp at 9,000 rpm and peak torque of 24 Nm at 7,500 rpm, the duo is to resemble their KTM counterpart- the Duke 250 in performance. Both Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 250 come with a tubular steel trellis frame, a 43 mm upside-down front fork and rear mono-shock suspension, and a braking system owning a ByBre four-piston calliper gripping a 300 mm disc up front, and a single-piston calliper on a 230 mm disc at the rear.
