Hyundai i20 N Line is powered by a turbocharged petrol engine alone
Hyundai India has announced the prices of the i20 N Line. The hatchback is priced from Rs 9.84 lakh in the country. There are 3 different variants of the i20 N Line to choose from- N6, N8 DCT, and N8 iMT. The N6 is based on the Sports trim of the standard i20, while the N8 has the top-spec Asta as its base car. In terms of pricing, the i20 N Line is on the higher side by 1.01-1.03 lakh, depending on the variants. You can buy the i20 N Line through 188 ‘Signature’ Hyundai dealerships across the nation.
Hyundai i20 N Line: Key Highlights
The i20 N Line gets a number of visual upgrades including a new set of colors. The dual tones have price premiums of Rs 15,000 over the mono-tones. The N line gets new bumpers, WRC-inspired Red accents, chequered flag grille design, more aggressive bonnet lines, bigger 17-inch diamond-cut wheels, dual exhausts (which offer a more exciting soundtrack), multiple N Line motifs, and a faux rear diffuser.
The cabin gets an all-Black color scheme with sporty Red accents, sportier 3 spoke steering wheel, leatherette seats with chequered flag pattern and N Line logo, and new N Line-spec gear knobs.
Engine And Transmission
The i20 N Line is available with a turbo petrol engine alone. This is the 1.0L TGDi unit from the regular car, in an identical state of tune. It churns out 120 hp and 172 Nm. A choice of two transmissions can be had- 7DCT and iMT. (No proper manual!) The N Line i20 gets a new exhaust with a beefier soundtrack and disc brakes on all four wheels. Hyundai also claims to have reworked the suspension to ensure sportier, sharper handling and better corner manners.
