Brace up for future-ready EVs from the Korean manufacturer
Kia India is betting big on the EV6 and multiple other EVs that are currently in the pipeline. As a prelude to these, the manufacturer has now inaugurated its first and fastest 240 kWh DC fast charger in Kochi. The unit is installed at Incheon Kia, Kochi, and would be open to customers against pay.
Kia would set up fast chargers at its dealerships across the country and these would further support the charging of EVs from other manufacturers as well. It had set up Gurgaon’s fastest 150 kWh charger in July this year.
Kia had recently launched the all-electric EV6 in India. The vehicle is built on Hyundai Group’s newest skateboard- E-GMP. It is claimed to offer up to 528 km range and would take less than 18 minutes to charge, over a 350 kWh charger. Further, the carmaker has plans of launching its India-centric EV by 2025.
