Range-Topping Kia Seltos X Line Launched With Major Visual Upgrades

Kia Seltos X Line adds more flair to the popular nameplate

Kia Motors had made their foray into the Indian market through the Seltos. The premium crossover was the first product they brought to the Indian shores, and the first product to take the market by storms in Kia India’s history that followed. The Seltos is still one of the top-selling nameplates for the manufacturer, and likely overwhelmed by this, Kia India has now added a beefier X Line trim to it. The X Line does full justice in terms of design, to the ‘New Species of Badass’ tag it bears and looks immensely appealing.

Kia Seltos X Line: What’s So Special About It?

The X Line is all about being premium and gets multiple highlights yelling just the same! The most important is the gorgeous made-in-India ‘Xclusive Matte Graphite’ paint scheme. (A gentle bow to the Lamborghini Urus Graphite Capsule maybe!) The matte shade does render it an evident touch of premiumness.

The grille comes finished in Matte Graphite shade but has a Piano Black outline to it. Piano Black accents can also be seen on the fog lamps, front and rear skid plates (which also get contrasting Sun Orange accents), on the dual mufflers, ORVMs, Shark fin antenna, and on the tailgate. The doors get Sun Orange garnishes, and there are a few exclusive X Line brandings on the car, as well. The Seltos X Line gets magnificent 18 inch, crystal-cut alloy wheels finished in Matte Graphite. If you might remember, the SUV has 17-inch wheels on the lower trims. To make it look more premium, the cabin gets a new color theme and stylish Indigo Pera leatherette upholstery with Honeycomb patterns.

Variants And Prices

The Seltos X Line is available in two different variants- with turbo petrol engine and 7-speed DCT automatic and diesel with 6-speed Automatic transmissions. There are thus no manuals for the X Line. The ex-showroom prices are as follows:

Road Ahead…

The X Line trim is hoped to give handsome boosts to Kia India’s sales figures. The carmaker posted sales of 16,750 units in August 2021, translating to 55% YoY growth. The Seltos was the highest-selling nameplate in August as well, recording sales of 8,619 units last month. With X Line in, the figures are expected to rise further. As a matter of fact, Kia is currently the fastest-growing carmaker in the country, selling 3 lakh units in just two years!
