A first Auto Expo participation for the manufacturer…
Lexus is the only luxury automaker taking part at this year’s Auto Expo and this is also their maiden appearance at the event. Naturally, it came set to make the most out of this opportunity. Lexus India saw this as a golden chance to debut the all-new, fifth-generation, 2023 Lexus RX350h in the Indian market.
The gen 5 Lexus RX made its global debut in June last year, and it features a completely new design language compared to the fourth-generation model. It is underpinned by the TNGA-K platform, which is 90 kg lighter than its predecessor and has a larger wheelbase.
The new RX has got a more upright stance, an entirely new ‘spindle’ grille, sleeker and sharper LED headlights and taillights, coupe-style rear quarter, and a new light bar at the back. On the inside, it gets less switchgear compared to the previous model, a 14-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charging pad. The interior upholstery is done in Vegan Synthetic Leather.

The RX is available in 350h, 450h+, and 500h guises in the overseas market, but only the 350h makes its way to India. The RX 350h packs a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with strong hybrid technology that’s good for 248HP and 324Nm of Torque. Lexus India also has the LF-Z Concept, the mildly refreshed LC500h, and the 2023 LX 500d on display.
