Manolito Vujicic has the track of having created wonders in the Chinese market

Porsche AG has declared a major leadership change for its India division. The German automotive bigshot has appointed German-born Manolito Vujicic as the new head of its India operations. The 48-year old Vujicic has the track of having held position as the Porsche Brand President at PAIG (China) Automobile Investment Co., Ltd in Hangzhou, China.

Manolito has over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry (of which 17 were with the Porsche Holding Salzburg alone) and an extensive zeal for the retail business. Porsche, as Dr. Manfred Braeunl, Chief Executive Officer of Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE in a media statement remarked, plans to leverage this extreme expertise of Manolito to expand their network in India and create a more welcoming market sentiment for their upcoming products, including the Taycan.

Prior to his role in China, Manolito had also held position as the Managing Director for Porsche SCG Ltd., Serbia’s national importer of Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Porsche. This experience as an importer is also hoped to enhance Porsche’s future sales in India. Manolito Vujicic seems quite excited about the new role, which he would officially assume on Feb 1, 2021

“Throughout my years in the automotive sector, I have learned that the key to growing business is to stay open-minded and be willing to learn. Our marketplace is constantly changing and it is crucial to adapt quickly. Together with our partners, we will continue to excite our customers, encourage our employees, offer an excellent service, and achieve positive results,” he continues.

Porsche’s business in China has had a significant boom under Vujicic. Porsche hopes to but replicate the same in India as well, as the leadership change comes in at a vital time for Porsche India. Porsche is gearing up for bringing in more bang to its India sales. The carmaker is prepping to launch the all-electric Porsche Taycan and the all-new Panamera here over the course of 2021.

Speaking of its plans for the coming years, Porsche India has plans of further expanding its footprint in our market, thereby enhancing the customer experience further. Porsche’s network currently consists of five sales and eight service outlets. Soon to join the league is a state of the art Porsche Studio at Delhi, that is currently under construction.
