The McLaren lineup for India includes the GT, Artura, 720S, and 720S Spyder.
As confirmed through our previous story, McLaren has officially set foot in the Indian market. Interestingly, the British supercar maker revealed the price details for its domestic portfolio on the exact same day when Lamborghini launched the Huracan EVO RWD Spyder here! As disclosed earlier, the McLaren lineup for India has four exciting models- the GT, Artura, 720S, and 720S Spyder. However, the carmaker has announced the prices of just the GT and the 720S family for now, and kept the Artura for a later date.
The McLaren GT is the entry ticket to the supercar brand’s stable. It is the most comfortable and beginner-friendly of the lot and comes with a base price of INR 3.72 crore (ex-showroom) Owners also have the option to opt for an add-on pack worth INR 29.77 lakh, which will have things like parking sensors, rear camera, vehicle lift etc. The GT with its 4.0L engine and 620 horses on tap, will go against the likes of Porsche 911 Turbo S, Bentley Continental GT, and Ferrari Roma.
The 720S ranks among the most popular McLaren cars sold globally and comes in as the flagship for the Indian lineup. The coupe and Spyder versions of the car are both available in the country priced at INR 4.65 core and INR 5.04 crore respectively. Pay an additional 43.31 lakh and you can have things like a suspension lift, a 12 speaker premium Bowers & Wilkins audio system, etc. Both these cars have 4.0L twin-turbo engines producing 720 hp and 770Nm. 100 km/h from a standstill comes in just 2.9 seconds. Rivals here include the Huracan and the Ferrari F8 Tributo.
As for the Artura, you can definitely configure one for India, as the configurator lists India as a region for this nameplate as well. However, we have no clear clue of its pricing yet. With Infinity Group as its dealer partner for India, McLaren hopes to expand its outreach and market footprint here.
