Nissan has partnered with ORIX for making this subscription model happen
The subscription model of vehicle ownership seems to be gaining acceptance in India and Nissan India has just stepped into this game! Nissan has launched an ownership subscription service on its popular SUV models- Kicks and Magnite and the Datsun Redi-Go. The manufacturer has partnered with ORIX India for realising their vehicle subscription package. If you might remember, ORIX is one of the biggest financial services and leasing firms in Japan and thus deserves no distrust for its Indian arm!
Nissan’s idea of vehicle subscription or the ‘Nissan Intelligent Ownership’ as they call it, is quite simple and transparent. You can subscribe to your favorite model in an affordable and hassle-free manner, by paying a nominal refundable security deposit at the start of the process. The further payments can be done as per the pre-selected tenure and on a monthly basis. The table below shows the cost details of the various Nissan and Datsun models included in the subscription plan.
The entire system is transparent and involves no hidden charges or misc-pays, confirms Nissan. There is zero down payment and zero insurance cost. The official quote covers everything from vehicle insurance and registration fees to road tax and maintenance costs! The company has plans of launching the subscription model in three cities – Delhi NCR, Hyderabad and Chennai initially. Phase 2 would see this service rolling out in Bangalore, Pune and Mumbai as well.
A number of other manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Tata Motors already have subscription services available in India for all or selected models. However, Nissan’s initiative is hoped to further increase the traction of the Nissan Magnite, which is already in great demand here.
