Mumbai-based Odysse Electric has launched its newest electric motorcycle in Kerala- the Odysse Vader. Priced at Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Kochi), this EV comes with a 3-year/50,000 km warranty coverage. With the FAME 2 revision and non-lenient state taxes in place, the on-road price goes up to 1.84 lakh.

Odysse Vader Design And Features

Vader is the second and most practical electric motorcycle from the manufacturer. It gets the look and feel of a commuter motorcycle. Unlike the Evoqis which gets a more committed, sporty rider triangle, this motorcycle can be a comfortable, practical family two-wheeler.

The Vader could look familiar to many. Key highlights include a circular headlamp, wide rear tyre, sleek tail etc. The motorcycle features a large 7-inch Android-based console that shows the speedometer, battery info, rider information, Maps and even comes with Bluetooth-based smartphone connectivity.

Odysse Vader is available in 5 colours: fiery red, venom green, misty grey, midnight blue and glossy black.

Odysse Vader Specifications

The Vader gets an IP67 AIS-156 approved battery pack, mated to a 3000 Watts hub-mounted electric motor. The battery pack sits below the fuel tank area. The tank has been transformed into an 18L storage area for added convenience.

It gets 240mm front disc brakes and 220mm discs at the rear. Further, it gets Combi Braking System (CBS).

The top speed of Odysse Vader is 85kph. The EV offers 3 ride modes and reversing assist. The battery can be charged to a full in 4 hours. On a fast charger, however, it will take 1-1.5 hr to juice up.

This electric motorcycle is claimed to return a range of up to 125 km every single charge, translating to fuel expenses of around 12-15 paise per 200 km.

Odysse Business In Kerala

Odysse currently has 4 stores in Kerala (a total of 63 across India). The company has announced more than 6 dealerships to be set up in the state in the coming months. Palakkad, Calicut, and Trivandrum have already been confirmed to get showrooms set up, a couple more will be announced soon.

In terms of sales, Kerala has been contributing well to Odysse. The brand recorded more than 100 bookings for the Vader electric bike, even before the first EV was delivered. Evoqis has been selling well in Kerala, attracting both male and female electric motorcycle enthusiasts.

Yes, you can buy these at any Odysse dealerships across the country. However, like the Evoqis and Odysse electric scooters, the Vader can also be ordered at various e-commerce stores like Flipkart. In this case, the fulfilment will be done by the nearest Odysse dealer partner.
