Tata Punch iCNG And Altroz iCNG Unveiled At The 2023 Auto Expo

The Punch’s dual-cylinder setup solves the lack of boot space with CNG cars.

Tata Motors has revealed the third and fourth additions to their CNG model range at the 2023 Auto Expo. The Indian auto giant has debuted the iCNG variants of the Altroz and Punch. The Tiago and Tigor CNG are the first 2 CNG models from Tata.

The new Punch iCNG packs a 1.2L 3-cylinder engine that’s good for 86 HP and 113Nm in petrol mode, and 77 HP and 97Nm of Torque in CNG spec.
The Punch gets a dual-cylinder setup, which solves the lack of boot space with CNG cars. The single 60-litre tank is now split into a couple of 30L tanks installed under the boot floor to free up space. The design and the feature list remain unchanged from the regular model.

The Altroz iCNG features the same powertrain and dual-cylinder set-up as the Punch iCNG. However, it gets additional features like leatherette seats, auto climate control, rear AC vents, rear armrest, and height adjustable driver seat.

Both models will go on sale later this year.
