Brezza CNG will be the first compact SUV in the country to come with a factory-fitted CNG kit
Maruti Suzuki has revealed the Brezza CNG at the 2023 Auto Expo, ahead of the launch. It’ll be the first compact SUV in the country to come with a factory-fitted CNG kit.
There’s no change in the exterior design of the car, except for the addition of a S-CNG badge that’s present across all Maruti Suzuki CNG models. However, the CNG tank eats up a notable portion of the boot space, which is the only negative factor compared to the petrol-powered Brezza. On the inside, the Brezza CNG gets an all-black upholstery.

Following the trend from other CNG models in Maruti’s lineup, the Brezza CNG is also expected to be offered in the mid-spec VXi and ZXi trim levels.
It’s expected to be powered by the same 1.5L K15C DualJet engine that found under Ertiga CNG’s bonnet. It churns out 100 HP and 136Nm in petrol-only mode and 88 HP and 121.5Nm in CNG mode. The Brezza CNG is speculated to get a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic as the available gearbox options.
The Brezza CNG is expected to command a premium of around ₹1 Lakh over the petrol-powered model.
