Jaguar Land Rover sets the second-generation Range Rover Evoque in motion on the Indian roads at a starting price of INR 54.94 lakhs. Available in two variants – the S and the SE, the 2020 Range Rover Evoque resembles it’s very own forerunner, the Range Rover Velar in the overall design while still flaunting a more Coupé like profile, meticulously designed surfaces and a unique roofline so as to put on a smooth polished demeanour.

The SUV comes with extra-slim LED headlights with characteristic DRLs, wrap-around LED taillights and flush deployable door handles as an add-on to its sleeker sculpt. And for the cabin, wherein opulence and minimalism go hand in hand, Range Rover Evoque 2020 is furnished elegantly with premium materials such as bits of Aluminum and an increased cabin space complemented by air ionisation offers supreme comfort.

A Touch Pro duo, Interactive Driver Display and driver assistance features such as Lane Keep Assist, Driver Condition Monitor and 360° Parking Aid with rear camera, Clear Exit Monitor and Rear Traffic Monitor have been incorporated so as to provide a safer drive. Most remarkably, a Clear Sight Interior Rear View Mirror, which provides an unimpeded view irrespective of any potential obstruction to the vision of a conventional rearview mirror, is a completely new addition to the Land Rover array.

When it comes to the capability front, the Evoque is equipped with the latest generation, Terrain Response 2, which automatically recognizes the terrain that it is on, and adapts the vehicle accordingly. Beneath the skin, the SUV comes with a 2.0L BS6 compliant Ingenium Turbocharged diesel engine, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.
As of now, the SUV is available only in the diesel guise and the petrol-powertrain is expected to make its market entry on a later date…
