67,259 units were sold in the domestic market and 21,472 units were sold overseas
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) released its sales report for the month of April 2023. The report states that the company registered an overall sales figure of 88,731 units last month, of which 67,259 units were sold in the domestic market and 21,472 units were sold in foreign markets. These figures indicate a 23.3% year-on-year growth in April 2023 compared to April 2022.
Mr. Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., commented on the sales performance, stating that the company’s growth in India is currently on track. He also mentioned that the current growth rate is in double digits and is the result of the growing demand for Suzuki motorcycles in India and overseas markets. He also pointed out the production milestone of achieving 7 million unit production since the company’s origin in 2006. Mr. Umeda further stated that SMIPL will introduce new colors for the third generation of the flagship superbike, Hayabusa, this month.
