Toyota Land Cruiser J300 Displayed At Auto Expo

Behold the sixth-gen LC…

Toyota has nailed it at its maiden appearance at the Auto Expo, as they have brought in a troop of astonishing vehicles. One of the highlights at Toyota pavilion is the sixth-generation Land Cruiser, which is making its maiden public appearance in India.

Back in August last year, Toyota India started accepting bookings for their flagship SUV for a token amount of ₹10 Lakhs. Even though it’s sold out time being, Toyota India views this as an opportunity to garner more consumer interest. It’ll come to the Indian market in its ‘Sahara’ trim and a 5-seat configuration. Toyota will bring the LC 300 as a direct import. Some customers in India have already received their cars as they privately imported them.

The LC300 is underpinned by the new GA-F platform which is derived from the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture). This all-new frame is 200 kilograms lighter and more rigid than ever.

The Land Cruiser J300 is available with two options for the engine – a 3.5L turbo petrol and a 3.3L turbo diesel. However, India only gets the latter. The diesel motor is good for 304HP and 700Nm of Torque. It comes mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard. The ex-showroom pricing is set at ₹2.17 Crores. Waiting period for Indian customers are expected to be around a year or so.
