It was with great shock that the automotive world heard the news of the sad demise of BMW India bossman Rudratej Singh in April. Eversince, Arlindo Teixeira, Chief Financial Officer has been carrying out the role of the acting president. BMW India has had a few important launches under the acting president including the recently launched BMW X6.
BMW Group has now announced its new leadership for India. Vikram Pawah, a very familiar face at BMW India and the CEO of BMW Group Australia and New Zealand, will now assume charge as the new president for India. Pawah has been with BMW Group since 2017. The president for BMW Group India then, he was appointed the CEO of BMW Australia and New Zealand in 2018. He will now head BMW India along with the Australia and NZ divisions.
