We loved Top Gun Maverick, the sequel to the legendary Tom Cruise starrer 'Top Gun'. Packed with action and adrenaline, it had some of the most insane aerial stunts and visuals of recent time.
Now, here is a sneak peek into what could be India's first aerial actioner- 'Fighter'... The first teaser has dropped and looks promising...
Centered around India's military aviation, the movie has Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in lead roles- as IAF pilots...
The teaser packs some drool-worthy aerial stunts and visuals involving various IAF aircraft models.
In one of the opening shots, Hrithik can be seen with a bunch of HAL HTT-40 trainer planes. These turboprop planes have been developed in India, as 'Basic Training Aircrafts'. IAF is yet to induct these into service.
While Top Gun was all about sleek American jets, this Hrithik Roshan starrer will have IAF's Sukhoi Su-30 MKi (Flanker-H) as one of the star planes...
The teaser has some breathtaking visuals (and CGI) of the Su 30. It can be seen preparing for take-off, lighting up the afterburners, flying inverted and pulling a couple of Gs.
Further upping anticipations, the video also shows the Flanker-H pull off an insane Cobra maneuver!
Top Gun Maverick had multiple instances of this maneuver being performed, mostly by American jets. However, going by the aerodynamics and related traits, these Russian jets are said to pull off a Cobra better! (However, no real instance of this being performed during a battle, has been reported yet)
Deepika can be seen with a couple of IAF helicopters, suited up, and later flying what vaguely appears to be a HAL Dhruv.
Interestingly, a couple of Royal Enfield motorcycles- the Hunter and Meteor 350, also make their appearances in the teaser...
This movie comes from the director of Pathhaan, Bang Bang and War. 'Fighter' could thus be worth its iMAX tickets... 'Fighter' will hit the theatres on January 25, 2024.
