Maruti Suzuki India has launched a new limited-run special edition to the Jimny.
Maruti Jimny Thunder edition is priced from Rs 10.74 lakh. Previously, the base variant had an ex-showroom price of Rs 12.74 lakh.
The Thunder Edition is available on the Zeta and Alpha trims.
Maruti Jimny Thunder Edition gets minor cosmetic upgrades, additional accessories, and no mechanical changes.
The Thunder Edition continues to be powered by the same 1.5L four-cylinder, K15B mild-hybrid petrol engine producing 105hp and 134 Nm. 5MT and 4AT are available as transmissions.
The Thunder Edition can be had on all variants of the Jimny.
With the Thunder Edition out, Suzuki Jimny is now 4 lakhs less expensive than the entry-level Thar 4WD MT (petrol).
The Jimny Thunder edition starts at Rs 10.74 lakh ex-showroom and goes up to 14.05 lakh ex-showroom.
Maruti could be trying to clear the 2023 inventory with the Jimny Thunder edition, by offering the year-ender price-cuts in the form of a limited-run special edition.
Maruti Suzuki has been selling well in the Indian market. It was offered up to 1 lakh discounts during Diwali. The revised pricing is expected to make the sales spike.
