Maruti Suzuki is readying a facelifted version of the popular Maruti Swift hatchback, and has teased some early images of the same through their official website. The carmaker will launch the car officially in the coming days.

Judging by the teaser, the facelifted version would have updations in the overall styling and powertrain. At the front, Swift 2021 gets a thick chrome bar cutting across the honeycomb mesh pattern grille, on which the Suzuki logo is placed. Dual-tone paint scheme and 15 inch alloy wheels are the other novelties in the car.

Featured photos on their website affirms changes in the interior as well. It is expected to keep up with the existing black interior theme, but there could be striking changes in the Cluster. Multi information display and cruise control would come as notable additions in the new car, the latter being available only in the top trims. A 7-inch touchscreen SmartPlay studio infotainment system adds more spice to the appealing interior of Maruti Swift 2021.

The performance of the car is to be further enhanced with the premiere of Next gen K-series engine supported with idle start/stop technology. The new KLN dual jet motor engine will be the  biggest upgrade in the new Maruti Swift. The current 83hp unit would now be replaced with a 90hp, 1.2litre petrol engine (the one from the Swift Dzire) In terms of transmission, Auto Gear Shift technology (or the AMT transmission) is expected in the facelifted version. However Swift 2021 will remain a petrol-only model for the time being.

Though the current Maruti Suzuki Swift is priced from 5.49 lakh to 8.02 lakh, the facelifted lifted variant would have a slight premium in pricing, considering the updates offered.
