Tata Nexon EV Price Falls By Up To 85k, Gets More Range

A stronger fight against the Mahindra XUV 400

2022 was a milestone year for Tata motors as they explored deeper into the electric vehicle segment, acquiring 90 percent of the market share. As per reports, Tata sold over 50,000 EV units across the country in the last year alone. Tata Nexon EV, their first electric SUV, played a major role in driving record-breaking EV sales in 2022. Tata has decided to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of this electric SUV by introducing the 2023 Nexon EV range (both MAX and Prime) at lower prices and with more range.

The range-topping Nexon EV Max will now have a maximum range of 453 km under the MIDC cycle, from January 25 onwards. Courtesy of a software update, existing customers can also get access to the upgraded range. The price update comes in at a very critical time- hours after Mahindra launched the XUV 400 with an aggressive price tag around its shoulder. The Nexon electric now undercuts the XUV 400 in pricing.
