Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Revealed, Celebrates The Brand’s 85-Years Legacy

Jeep is getting ready to celebrate a huge milestone. In 2026, the iconic American brand turns 85. Instead of limiting the celebration to a single special edition, Jeep has planned something much bigger. It is called ‘Twelve 4 Twelve’, a year-long program that will introduce a new special-edition Wrangler every month.

After kicking things off with the V8-powered Wrangler Moab 392 in November, Jeep has now revealed the second model in the lineup. The 2026 Jeep Wrangler Whitecap, and it takes a very different approach.

A Nod to Jeep’s Classic Roots

The Wrangler Whitecap is all about nostalgia. Jeep has brought back the white-roof design last seen in 2021, but this time it goes a step further. The Bright White finish also extends to the iconic seven-slot grille, creating a clean two-tone look.

This design is a clear tribute to early CJ-era Jeeps, especially the classic models from the 1940s that often featured white hardtops. The result is a Wrangler that looks modern but proudly wears its heritage on the outside.

What is Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Edition?

The Whitecap package is available only on the Wrangler Sahara and Wrangler Rubicon trims. Both versions get the Bright White hardtop and grille, paired with body-colored fender flares. On the Sahara, these flares come standard, while on the Rubicon they are part of an optional package.

Buyers can also choose optional Bright White ‘1941’ side stripe decals on both trims. The Rubicon can be further personalized with a matching hood decal. For those who prefer open-air driving, Jeep offers the Sky One-Touch power top, finished with Bright White accents to match the theme.

Familiar Engines, Proven Capability

Mechanically, nothing changes with the Whitecap edition. Jeep continues to offer two engine options. Buyers can choose the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, producing 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, or the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, which makes 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.

Both engines are paired with Jeep’s well-known four-wheel-drive systems, so the Wrangler Whitecap remains just as capable off-road as any other Wrangler.

Pricing and Availability

The 2026 Jeep Wrangler Whitecap is now available to order. Pricing depends on the trim and selected options. The Rubicon X package starts at $495, the Sahara version with the body-color hardtop is priced at $2,690, and the Rubicon package costs $3,185, including the hardtop and fender flares.

With ten more Twelve 4 Twelve special editions still to come, Jeep fans can expect many more unique Wranglers as the brand counts down to its 85th birthday.
