3 Sub-4 meter products are in the pipeline
These upcoming Nissan cars could define the brand’s future in India! Nissan’s sales here rely heavily on the Magnite. Although this compact SUV sells quite well, depending solely on a single product isn’t a good long-term strategy. Nissan seems to know this and is preparing to launch as many as six new products in the upcoming years, in collaboration with Renault.
Upcoming Nissan Cars In India
4Th Gen Nissan X-Trail
Firstly, reports suggest the Nissan X-Trail will be the initial model arriving in India. Unveiled last October, this fourth-generation model is anticipated to make its debut in the domestic market sometime next year. It will be sold in India through the CBU route, and there’s been an international facelift recently. While it comes in various powertrain options, India might receive the 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology, paired with a CVT gearbox.
Nissan MPV
Through a partnership with Renault, Nissan plans to introduce a new MPV in its lineup. According to reports, this compact MPV will take cues from the Renault Triber, measuring just below 4 meters. Nissan is likely to make significant alterations to distinguish it from the Renault model. Price-wise, it’s expected to match the Triber, using the same powertrain and underpinnings.
