The price cut is hoped to improve the market traction of the KTM Adventure 250
Just last week, the price of the smaller Dominar (D250) was reduced by Rs 17k, while the other product prices were increased. Now, Bajaj has also decided to reduce the price of KTM 250 ADV, their 250cc adventure bike, by Rs 25k for a limited period of time, even while giving the ADV 390 price a hike. The Adventure 250 price was Rs 2.55 lakh last year, now it starts at Rs 2.3 lakh, ex-showroom.
Those who book KTM 250 Adventure before 31st August 2021 will be eligible for the cut. The most probable reason behind this price cut could be its low sales figures. With the new price, the 250 ADV is not far-standing in price from the KTM Duke 250. The price drop is expected to attract buyers who are looking for an affordable and versatile ADV model with incredible specs.

Exterior
In terms of design, the KTM 250 Adventure is not so much different from its elder brother KTM 390 Adventure. The motorcycle comes with a sleek headlamp (though halogen), dual-purpose block pattern tyres on 19-17 inch alloy wheels, upswept exhaust, short tail, a fuel tank with a matte finish, and glossy side panels. The 250 ADV also gets an all-LED system that includes DRLs, front and rear indicators, and rear tail light.
There’s a black and white digital instrument panel on offer on the 250 ADV with a host of information on display- speedometer, fuel gauge, rpm, gear indicator, and odometer.
With a tapered handlebar, wide seat, wide footpegs with rubber inserts, and adjustable windshield, it’d be an understatement to say that this model is designed for comfortable rides.
Specifications
The bike’s 248.8cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine generates 29.6 bhp and 24 Nm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox. Braking is handled by single discs on both wheels while the suspension setup comprises 43mm APEX forks at the front and a rear monoshock. The 14.5-liter fuel tank is of decent size, and the weight of the motorcycle stands at 177kg.
With the new prices, KTM 250 ADV rivals the Hero Xpulse 200 and BMW G 310 GS in the adventure-bike space. The fact that it is now almost 1 lakh cheaper than bigger sibling, is expected to increase the sale of the Adventure 250 here.
