Rajnish Kumar used to serve as the chairman of SBI in his previous role.
Hero Motocorp has announced a major change to its board of directors. Ex-SBI Rajnish Kumar has now been appointed as an independent non-executive director to the company. Rajnish used to serve as the chairman at SBI in his previous role and did magnificent jobs in steering the bank to profits through challenging times. It was under Rajnish that SBI introduced YONO digital platform, seamlessly integrating technology into banking.
Rajnish has around 4 decades of experience in banking and finance, specifically in corporate credit and project finance, and the same is hoped to benefit Hero Motocorp greatly in the time ahead. At present, he also serves as the independent director on the Boards of companies like HSBC, Asia Pacific, L&T Infotech, as non-executive chairman of Resilient Innovations P Ltd (BharatPe), and as Strategic Group Advisor at OYO.
Other Leadership Reworks
Hero has also appointed Ms. Vasudha Dinodia as a non-executive director. Dinodia is the brain behind the highly successful boutique chocolate start-up Choko La, which had started its journey in 2005. She hails from the Munjal family and has been an astute marketing strategist and a third-gen entrepreneur.
In other news, Hero had recently appointed Ms. Camille Tang, an expert from the global technology landscape as an independent non-executive director of the brand. Tang has brought extensive experience in finance, retail, technology, and AI to the homegrown two-wheeler brand.
With the new faces in, Hero Motocorp now has 11 members on its board of directors, with 25% of it being women. The manufacturer is hoped to exhibit stronger growth under the new board.
