The Ashok Leyland BOSS will raise the competition in the Intermediate Commercial Vehicle segment.
Ashok Leyland has launched the BS6 compliant BOSS LE and LX trucks in the country. These would further beef up the game in the ICV (Intermediate Commercial Vehicle) segment. The trucks would address the 11.1-14.05 tonne GVW segment.
The new Ashok Leyland Boss LX and LE are both highly versatile trucks and are available in different body styles and with varying loading bay sizes. The loading span stretches from 14ft to 24ft and comes offered with a high side deck, fixed side deck, drop side deck, cab chassis, container, and tipper. Thus these vehicles find applications in multiple industries like parcel and courrier, poultry, white goods, agri perishable, e commerce, etc. The Boss range offers 7% higher fuel efficiency, upto 5% more tyre life, and upto 30% longer service intervals and over 5% lower maintenance costs, thus yielding more profit for the fleet owners. The Leyland Boss comes as a fully built unit.
The Boss range gets the H series 4 cylinder putting out 150 hp and 450 Nm, and is BS6 compliant. The prices for the BOSS LE and LX start from INR 18 lakh (ex.showroom).
