Isuzu India has launched three BS 6 compliant versions of the popular D Max pickup
Isuzu Motors India has finally launched the BS6 compliant versions of the popular D Max pickup. The Isuzu D Max Regular Cab and D Max S Cab are quite popular in the commercial vehicle space. The D Max Regular cab is a flat deck high ride pickup and standard ride and high ride versions of the S Cab. Isuzu India is also retailing the D Max regular cab chassis as such too. The manufacturer has now also added another variant to the lineup. Dubbed the D Max Super Strong, the new variant will have a 1710 kg payload capacity. The D Max Super Strong bears a price tag of INR 8.38 lakh.
The D Max pickup range runs on a 2.5L Isuzu 4JA1 diesel engine with a variable geometry turbocharger. The range also offers many interesting features like a MID and gear shift indicator. The engine has gone through some major makeovers in order to adhere to the BS6 standards.
Isuzu has also paid attention to making the vehicles more occupant friendly. Many comfort enhancements have been implemented on the new range including height-adjustable seatbelts and sliding co-driver seats.
