What Is the Green Line in Bangalore Metro?

The Green Line of Bangalore’s Namma Metro connects the northern and southern parts of the city. This corridor stretches from Madavara (BIEC) in the northwest to Silk Institute in the south, covering a total distance of 30.5 kilometers.
Most of the Green Line is built as an elevated corridor, with 26 elevated and 3 underground stations. It connects several key localities across Bengaluru like Madavara, Peenya, Yeshwanthpur, Rajajinagar, Malleshwaram, Basavanagudi, Jayanagar, and Banashankari.
As one of the two major metro lines currently in operation, the Green Line plays a crucial role in decongesting traffic on Bengaluru’s busy roads and offers a fast, clean, and efficient mode of transport across the city.
