One final nip and tuck to the current generation BMW 3 GT !
The BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is one car that has amassed much ardour over time for its taller stance and notchback design.The current generation of the car has now gotten what BMW calls the ‘Shadow Edition’ to sell numbers before the next gen pops up. Here’s what you need to know about the new BMW 3 GT shadow edition.
Design:
The Shadow Edition is the only trim level that the 3GT currently has in India. It definitely boasts of a plethora of design upgrades. There is a lot of black in the overall design. The grille has been blacked out, and so have been the 18-inch wheels and the tailpipes. The 3GT shadow edition also gets all the kit and equipment of the BMW 330i M sport, which it is based on.
Equipment levels:
The 3 Series GT Shadow Edition gets a fair bit of kit. There are the 8.8-inch infotainment system, 10.5-inch digital instrumentation, a panoramic glass roof, a rearview camera, ambient lighting, etc, all in place. On the safety front, the Shadow Edition gets 8 airbags, ABS, EBD, corner brake control, traction control, and the like.
Engine:
The car comes powered by the familiar 2.0L, four cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, putting out 248hp and 350Nm, mated to the eight speed steptronic sport AT. The 0-100 sprint can be done in 6.1 seconds.
All these changes would do their bits in keeping the sales steady till the next gen G30 GT arrives (Or will it?!). The car has an ex.showroom price of INR 42.5 lakh.
