BS6 Benelli Imperiale 400 Launched, Price Goes Up!

Benelli Imperiale 400 BS6 comes in three different colour options

The updated Benelli Imperiale 400 has been launched in India at 1.99 Lakhs ex-showroom India for the base model. The price of the bike has gone up this year due to the mechanical changes to comply with the BS6 emission norms and also the fluctuating currency rates. Bookings for the new model are being accepted by the manufacturer through their website and the dealerships across India starting with a token amount of 6000 INR. The updated model is available in three different color options; Silver, Red, and Black just like its predecessor.

The Benelli Imperiale 400 is powered by a single-cylinder Fuel-injected air-cooled engine churning out a peak power of 20.7 ps and 29nm. The update of the engine has however seen no loss in power or torque figures. However, the power and torque come in at different points in the rev range. The outgoing BS4 engine produces 21hp at 5,500 rpm and 29Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm and the updated engine would also make maximum power and torque of 21hp at 6,000 rpm and 29Nm at 3,500 rpm.

The manufacturer offers more perks for the BS6 owners. They offer all the Benelli Imperiale 400 owners access to an exclusive riding community called Imperiale Raiders, 3-year unlimited kilometer warranty, a complimentary service for the initial two years covering 5 periodic maintenance services, Pick up and drop service and 24×7 roadside assistance.

The Imperiale 400 was launched in India in October 2019 at a price tag of 1.69 Lakhs ex-showroom and was a rival to the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The deliveries of the new model will commence in August 2020.
