Ducati launches the all-new Hypermotard 950 in India at a totally alluring price. The Hypermotard 1100 has been in business for quite some time now and has amassed a fair chunk of fan following over time. The newly launched Ducati Hypermotard 950 packs the aesthetic appeal, aggressiveness and features of its big bro, into a considerably smaller, smarter and sleeker package.

The new Hypermotard 950 stands out from the crowd with its thoroughly aggressive looks and the sporty psyche, thanks to the familiar the trademark Hypermotard ‘beak’ and the compact headlight with a prominent Daytime Running Light (DRL). It gets a beastly 937cc twin-cylinder Ducati Testastretta 11° at it heart, that churns out an additional 4 hp compared to its predecessor, taking the net count to 114 hp now. The torque curve peaks at 9.8 kgm. The mill shedding around 1.5 kg, has also upped the overall thrill that the bike bestows on the rider.
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 has been built on a new lightweight steel trellis frame with variable section tubes, new rims, brake discs with Aluminium flanges, light Marzocchi forks with aluminium fork bodies/tubes, all bringing the net weight of the bike by over 4 kg! It also gets a massive 170mm wheel travel. The braking is handled by two monoblocs radially mounted 4-piston Brembo M4.32 callipers, operated by a radial brake master cylinder featuring an adjustable 5-position lever.
The ergonomics of the new Hypermotard 950 have been tweaked for good and to offer a more fun- to – ride experience to the rider. The new handlebar, narrower side profile and new seats, all but aid this move well ! The bike gets Pirelli Diablo Rosso III rubber wrapped on 3 spoke Y shaped Aluminium rims with a 3.5″ section up front and 5.5″ at the rear.
There are three different riding modes on offer. The 4.3″ TFT screen seems to have had tad big an influence from the Panigale V4. There is also the provision for the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS), which would enable the rider to connect his smartphone to the bike and manage key multimedia functions.';
On the safety front, the Hypermotard 950 gets a bunch of eye-popping equipment like the Bosch 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (6D IMU), Bosch Cornering ABS with the Slide by Brake function (with setting 1), Ducati Traction Control EVO (DTC EVO), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO etc. The bike even gets the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up and Down EVO as an accessory!
