IBW gets bigger and better this time!
Asia’s biggest bike festival is returning with a bang and has joined hands with PETRONAS Sprinta to put up a larger-than-life show this time. India Bike Week 2022 is coming back to Goa, after three years and from what we’ve heard, has everything in store to give you Adrenanaline Tsunamis! Here’s more about it:
2022 India Bike Week Dates, Tickets And Venue
Packing many exciting events, the 8th edition of India Bike Week will commence on December 2nd and 3rd, 2022 (Friday and Saturday). In a rather familiar fashion, the latest edition too packs motorcycles, music, food and adventure.
There are as many as 5 different types of passes available. The festival pass (Day pass) is priced at Rs 1,900 for one rider and for one-day entry. The basic weekend pass bears a price of Rs 2,600 and is valid for two-day entry. Spending an additional 200 INR would give you the IBW Festival kit along with the weekend pass. The kit would include a festival T-shirt, IBW sipper, 2022 edition decals, and 500 KOGO coins. This offer, however, is valid till November 20, 2022. The lounge pass, which’ll give you access to the air-conditioned VIP lounge, and complimentary alcohol and snacks would cost Rs 5,000, in addition to the festival passes. India Bike Week 2022: What To Expect This Time?
The 8th edition of IBW has 5 race tracks set for its participants: Hill climb, flat track, ADV Flow track, Dirt Dash and Mud Rush. Detailed track coaching sessions are also being organized for riders to prep themselves before the actual action. Professionals from ProDirt Adventure, Motofarm & FMAE Motopark will do the inductions. The official tyre partner CEAT will co-host the hill climb and PETRONAS Sprinta is the official sponsor for the ongoing Chai Pakoda rides.
This time around, a lot of exciting stuff is to be expected in the Ladakh tent. There will be biker cafes, ADV trip organizers, OG motorcycling club meets, booze, grills, songs and even open mics from within the community. International Award Winning biker podcaster Shirshendu Banerjee (Shandy) will record live at IBW 2022.
Like most of the previous editions, various motorcycle giants will take part in IBW 2022 as well. Brands like KTM, BMW Motorrad and Harley Davidson have already confirmed their participation. A number of key launches are also hoped to happen during the event, as has been the custom till date. There will also be drool-worthy displays of tasteful builds and neatly restored classics.
Music this time would be by Lagori & Teri Miko, Easy Wanderlings & DJ Mojo Jo Jo, DJ Unnayaana & Uday Benegal and DJ Ayesha Pramanik. There will be rappers, MCs, BMX stunters, and break dancers as well.
India Bike Week 2022: What To Eat?
“The Big Forkers Meat Fest” would be the key highlight this time. This curated set of barbeques and grills will include the likes of Goan Chorizo, whole hog roasts, spit roasts, fire & meat displays, churrascarias, Tawa and tandoor- picked and prepared by five renowned chefs- chef Aal (Nagaland), Chef Arjun Sikdar (Goa) Chef Geoff (Canada), Chef Oneal (Kochi), and Chef Chris (GOA). Further, Eat Street will have 10 other local Goan caterers and food trucks serving IBW signature foods.
IBW Goa 2022: Ride Outs
IBW has 3 major ride-outs within Goa, this season: Kayakin’ Ride, THE FLAVOURS OF GOA RIDE and The Secret Trails. The Kayakin’ Ride would give you an exciting experience, of some serene Kayaking and bird watching. Organized in association with Sahasea, this would require the riders to ride north, to Thivim, to embark on the Kayaking journey.
In The Flavours Of Goa Ride, you could ride along with Chef Marlon Lobo, also a boat builder, motorcyclist, and food consultant, to hunt down some exquisite authentic Goan culinary experiences. The 3-hour long ride would take place on Dec 3.
The Secret Trails ride, curated by Goa Motorcycle Club, will take the participants to some scenic off-beat trails and roads in Goa. Look for and ride along rivers, boat builders, fishing villages, paddy fields and cashew farms to get a different yet authentic experience of the place.
