The XPulse 200T is essentially a ‘Tourer’ packing retro styling and modern tech tightly into one sweet bundle !
We have all been waiting for this for long, but not anymore. Hero Motocorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, recently unveiled its much awaited premium offering, the Xpulse 200T at the global platform of the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy.'
Essentially a wise blend of modern tech and retro styling, this tourer has been built to offer easy and comfortable riding posture and thus inspire touring.
Focus has been high on the ergonomics and loading capability, something well enhanced by the large luggage plate onboard. A host of safety and convenience features such as single channel ABS, LED head and tail lamps, digital speedometer with bluetooth connectivity and turn-by turn navigation are also on offer!
In a statement,Mr. Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hero MotoCorp, said, “Hero MotoCorp is globally known for its fuel-efficient and reliable products, sustainable manufacturing and frugal engineering that drive the wheels of economy in several regions. While we constantly strive to keep improving our existing iconic products, we have been currently focusing on developing higher capacity, youthful and exciting products. Going ahead, we plan to set the benchmark in the high-capacity premium segments as well, like we have done in the other segments.”
In an effort to give itself a premium makeover, Hero Motocorp has been rapidly building up a robust range of premium motorcycles and scooters, the recently launched Xtreme 200R being the most notable example . The Xpulse 200T, essentially a tourer, gets a go anywhere (literally) adventurer sibling, the Xpulse 200. Both the bikes are hoped to hit the markets by the beginning of next year.
Unveiling the new XPulse 200T here at EICMA, Mr. Malo Le Masson, Head of Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp, said “The Adventure and Touring motorcycle segments are very popular across the world and here we are showcasing Hero’s vision for these segments with the XPulse 200T based on our unique XPulse platform. We aim to further expand this platform and more products to our portfolio by the second quarter of the next year. Concurrently, we have used the new XPulse 200T for a unique initiative of co-creating diverse Concepts with customization specialist, and showcased the engineering prowess of developing a versatile platform. This also provides us an opportunity to capture the growing trend of direct customer engagement while opening the door to a new line of businesses.';
The manufacturer had also showcased some of its new age scooters like the Euro IV compliant Duet 125 and Dash 125 (Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 125 in the Indian market) at the EICMA along with 4 custom built models based on the Xpulse 200T that included a Café Racer Concept, a Desert Concept, a Scrambler Concept and a Flat-Track Concept.
