Hyundai Alcazar amassed over 11,000 bookings in July alone
Hyundai Motor India registered heartwarming sales figures in July 2021. The carmaker recorded cumulative sales numbers of 60,249 units in July. 48,042 vehicles were sold in the domestic market, while 12,207 were exported. The total sales have grown by 45.9% compared to July 2020.
A detailed breakdown shows that the domestic sales have had reassuring YoY growth. While the carmaker could sell only 38,200 units in July 2020, 48,042 vehicles were sold in July this year, 25.8% higher than the previous year. These figures are, 10.6% higher than the numbers in June 2021, when 40,496 cars were retailed. The positive winds are partly due to the rising shift to personal mobility and the growing brand image. The recently launched Hyundai Alcazar (6 or 7 seater SUV based on Creta) is witnessing massive traction here. It has garnered over 11,000 bookings in July alone. Other major volume-drivers in July were the Creta, i20, and Venue. Hyundai India’s present portfolio consists of 11 models, half of which are highly sought after by the people here.
The exports have had bewildering YoY growth in July 2021. Hyundai could export just 3,100 units in July 2020, due to the pandemic. However, in the same month this year, 12,207 units were exported to global markets, marking a hike of 293.8 percent. If you might remember, Hyundai is the largest exporter among all the automakers here, in terms of volume.
