Lee will be at the helm of the Kia’s transformative journey ahead, with a strong focus on sustainability
Gwanggu Lee has been appointed as the new managing director and CEO of Kia India. Lee takes charge as Kia India’s 3rd managing director and CEO. He is expected to strengthen Kia’s presence in the Indian market. Lee’s appointment comes after Kia Corporation’s 36-year-long managing director & CEO Tae Jin Park recently announced his retirement.
Lee brings more than 30 years of automotive industry experience with him. He has held leadership positions in the US and Canada, as well as in Mexico, Central America, South America and Germany. Gwanggu Lee’s most recent role as president of Kia Mexico has been instrumental in the growth and establishment of the company as a manufacturing and export hub there.
Lee has expressed his enthusiasm and vision for the new role, emphasizing his commitment to sustainable business growth, value for customers, partners and employees, and his deep knowledge of the brand Kia.
