Here’s everything to know about the XUV 300 facelift aka XUV 3XO
Mahindra XUV 3XO has been launched in India and is essentially a heavily updated version of the previous XUV 300. It’s got a lot of upgrades inside and out, and the starting price of the base variant is Rs. 7.49 lakh, and the top-of-the-line variant costs Rs. 15.49 lakh (Ex-Showroom). While design reworks are relatively less in number on the outside, the interior is now similar to that of the XUV400 electric SUV.

Exterior Design Changes
Much of the design does justice to the cues suggested by the previous teaser videos. If you might remember, the teasers managed to cleverly conceal the fascia of the car till launch. At debut, the front fascia seems to be the biggest area of controversy! It looks a bit too radical for a B2 segment Mahindra!
Key design highlights include a more angular nose, LED DRLs, new front bumper and revised headlamps. It comes with a two-part grille, a large central air intake, new 17-inch wheels, a redesigned tailgate with a full-width LED light bar and new tail lamps.
Courtesy of its revised design, the XUV 3XO is claimed to have slightly better capabilities than its predecessor. Below are the numbers:
Approach angle | 23.6 degrees |
Departure angle | 39.6 degrees |
Water wading depth | 350mm |
Forward visibility | 23.7° |
Boot capacity | 295 L (up to 364 L) |
It is interesting to see how Mahindra tries desperately to connect the 3XO to the flagship XUV 700. We can see these tries in everything from the variant nomenclature to the press release saying ‘ Best-in-class forward visibility of 23.7°that matches with XUV 700’…
Mahindra XUV 3XO colours: There are a total of 7 exterior colours on offer: Citrine Yellow, Dune Dust, Nebula Blue, Deep Forest, Stealth Black and Everest White. Higher variants also offer the choice of dual-tone colourways.

Interior
The cabin has been redesigned and a lot of new features have now been added. The dashboard design now stands closer to that of the XUV 400 EV.
Mahindra XUV 3XO’s feature list includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen, digital driver display, dual-zone climate control, a seven-speaker Harman Kardon audio, Adrenox Connect in-car connectivity suite, wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, rear AC vents, wireless charger, 360 camera, Level 2 ADAS and Type-C ports.
One of the biggest highlights inside is the huge panoramic sunroof. It is for the first time in this segment, that a vehicle gets a panoramic roof. The Skyroof on XUV 3XO measures 940mm in length and 870mm in width.

Almost all variants get the option of a 117hp, 1.5-litre diesel, paired with a six-speed manual (with a rated fuel economy of 20.6 kpl) and six-speed AMT transmissions (with an estimated fuel economy of 21.2 kpl).

Mahindra XUV 3XO is available in a total of 18 variants, which is in fact, less than the 25 variants of the previous XUV 300. The new SUV starts at Rs 7.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The starting price is now Rs 50,000 lower than that of the XUV 300. The top-spec variant is priced at Rs 15.49 lakh, less expensive than a fully loaded Nexon or Sonet.
