Lexus LM 350 MPV On Display At Auto Expo

Lexus could launch the electrified version of this luxury van in India

Lexus is showcasing the LM 350 luxury MPV on their maiden trip to the biennial automotive event of India. The company has confirmed that the LM will hit the Indian market later this year, but it will be the 300h guise getting launched in the country and not the 350 displayed at the expo. The LM is nothing but a Toyota Vellfire sprinkled with the Lexus spice on it. LM350 is the non-hybrid model, while the LM 300h packs a petrol-hybrid setup.

It gets the signature Lexus ‘spindle’ grille in chrome, sleek and pointy headlamps,  L-shaped fog lamp housing, chrome appliqué around the side windows, same sliding doors and glasshouse as the Vellfire, and unique taillights that spans the entire width of the tailgate.

The interior is noticeably different and way plusher than the Vellfire. There’s even a massive 26-inch display, a compact refrigerator and an umbrella storage area for the rear occupants. The LM is also available as a 7-Seater which adds an additional row of 3 seats at the back.

The Lexus LM 300h packs a 2.5L petrol engine paired with 2 electric motors-one on each axle-to produce a combined power output of 197 HP, driving the front wheels via an e-CVT gearbox. However, the rear e-motor solely powers the rear wheels when required to form an electric 4WD system. Other key exhibits of Lexus at Auto Expo 2023 included the LX 500d and new RX350h
