Mercedes Benz further spices up its AMG lineup in India with the 53 series
AMG, the benchmark to which all luxury performance sedans are assessed, has introduced their new 53 series in the Indian market. The AMG 53 series is a much-anticipated launch for the Indian enthusiasts. The first model to flaunt the 53 badge would be the GLE 53 4MATIC+. It directly replaces the AMG GLE 43 Coupe and also brings a lot more power and performance, reinforcing the GLE SUV portfolio in the domestic market.
This new car reflects some of the phenomenal innovations that the manufacturer has perfected in the tracks of Formula One. Powered by a twin-scroll turbocharged Inline 6 engine, and F1 inspired 48V EQ-Boost produces an impressive 435 HP and an additional 22 Hp and 250nm of electric output. All this power can propel the vehicle to 100 kmph from standstill in under 5.3 seconds. The engine is mated to the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission .
The dazzling performance of this car is further complimented by the electronic aids that it brings to the table. AMG dynamic select feature with seven different drive modes for the driver to choose from, namely – Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual, Trail, and Sand. Additionally, it is equipped with the Mercedes ‘ME Connect’ connected car features as well.
The all-new GLE is now available in 300d, 400d, 450,and AMG GLE 53 Coupé variants. As always, the pinnacle of performance luxury has its price. The AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé is priced at INR 1.2 Crore ex-showroom, India.
