Ranveer has chosen to gift himself the Urus Pearl capsule edition in the gorgeous shade of Arancio Borealis, or let’s just say Orange?
Bollywood icon Ranveer Singh has added an equally iconic machine to his garage- the Lamborghini Urus Pearl Capsule Edition. Singh had been spotted driving around in an Urus in 2019, and seems to have waited over an year for the more exclusive Pearl Capsule edition’s Indian debut in March 2021, for finally owning one.
What Is So Special About The Urus Pearl Capsule?
The ‘Pearl Capsule’ holds the title of being the first exclusive customization option for Urus, crafted by Lamborghini’s Centro Stile design department, and had made its global debut in June 2020. However, the India launch of the Pearl Capsule Urus had happened in March 2021. The Italian giant also has other customization packages for the SUV like the Graphite Capsule, which are yet to launch in our market.
Singh’s Urus Pearl Capsule edition is finished in an exciting shade of Arancio Borealis, or Candy Orange and gets 22 inch Nath wheels instead of the Pearl Capsule’s usual 23-inch Taigete rims, to further bump the exclusivity. To stand out from the ‘regular’ Super SUV, the Pearl Capsule range gets a bunch of exterior upgrades like a high gloss black roof, rear diffuser, spoiler lip, and other details.
As opposed to the brushed Silver on the regular Urus, the Pearl Capsule package has the tailpipes finished in dark matte grey. Besides Singh’s Candy Orange, there are two other highly desirable shades for the Pearl Capsule- Giallo Inti (Yellow) and Verde Mantis (Green), taking the total number of the four-layer pearl colours to 3!
The cabin of the Pearl Capsule edition gets a number of things that set it apart from the regular Lamborghini SUV, like a unique two tone interior colour theme, dual-tone perforated Alcantara seats with contrast stitching and enough branding flaunts, CF inserts that stand out, optional premium Sensonum sound system and black anodised trims. It is, however, unclear as to if Singh has gone for any additional personalization/ visualization of himself in his new car.
Lamborghini Urus Pearl Capsule: Mechanicals
The Pearl Capsule is more or less a cosmetic upgrade for the Urus, meaning these vehicles remain untouched on the mechanical front. The Urus Pearl Capsule gets no major upgrades /tweaks in terms of performance or dynamics. It is powered by the same 4.0L twin-turbo V8 that churns out 650 hp and 850 Nm, mated to the familiar 8-speed automatic gearbox. 0-100 comes in an impressive 3.6-second timespan and the SUV has a top speed of 305 kmph.
The cosmetic reworks come at a price of course! While the standard car is priced at INR 3.15 crore (ex showroom), the Pearl Capsule would cost you an additional 20%, taking the figures to around 3.43 Cr!
Ranveer Singh Car Collection
Ranveer is quite noted as a car fanatic and owns a desirable garage as well. Singh’s collection includes Mercedes Benz GLS, Audi Q5, Aston Martin Rapide S, Range Rover Vogue, Jaguar XJL, and a Maruti Suzuki Ciaz(!) The Urus Pearl Capsule has now joined this mighty clan.
Stellar Demand And Rocketing Reputation !
The Urus might be one of the biggest successes for the Italian giant till date. Recent reports confirm it to be the best-selling Lamborghini today. Even in an emerging market like India, the 3.15 crore SUV has sold over 100 units so far! This SUV is currently adored by many celebrities and tycoons of our country. The names of actor Kartik Aryan, Rohit Shetty, Puneet Rajkumar, Mukesh Ambani, Adar Poonawalla could be cited for the time being.
