Major equipment upgrades include a larger touchscreen and digital instrument cluster
Tata Motors has debuted the Red Dark edition variants of the Harrier and Safari at the ongoing 2023 Auto Expo. This new special edition isn’t just limited to cosmetic tweaks, they also bring a bigger infotainment touchscreen and a whole suite of ADAS features to the Harrier and Safari range. These new additions will trickle down to the regular models as well.
The Red Dark Editions wear a unique colour called the Oberon Black, get 18-inch black alloy wheels with red brake callipers, and a cheeky little bright red insert on the front grille. The interior gets new Carnelian Red seat upholstery with diamond-pattern quilting, red leatherette grab handles, grey dashboard trim and piano black inserts on the steering wheel.

Other updates include a larger 10.25-inch central infotainment touchscreen with a new interface, 9-speaker JBL audio system, a new digital instrument cluster, and a 360-degree camera. But, the biggest of them all is the inclusion of ADAS features on the Safari and Harrier Red Dark Editions.
The ADAS tech includes lane keeping assist, forward collision alert, traffic sign recognition, six airbags, and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB). Mechanically, both models remain unchanged. The Tata Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions will launch later this year.
