Tata Nexon EV is the most sought-after SUV in its segment following subsidy wars
As the booking period for the Nexon EV rises to six months, Tata Motors has announced it has sold 13,500 units of the vehicle since its launch in 2020.
Tata Nexon EV is now the most affordable electric SUV in India, thanks to a slew of subsidies and early-bird benefits announced by various states. Nexon EV is highly sought-after in Maharashtra after the State government has extended the prevailing benefits to March 2022.

Maharashtra has one of the most liberal EV policies in India. The state has a starting incentive of Rs 5,000 per kWh on the battery capacity, while the offer is capped at Rs. 1.50 lakh. Buyers can also avail an additional Rs. 1 Lakh as early bird benefit. The offers bring down the prices of different variants of Nexon and Tigor by up to Rs. 2.5 lakh. Currently, top variants like XZ+ LUX are out of the incentive list though.
Meanwhile, Tata Motors is looking to update the Nexon EV with more range. The model will be launched in the market in the coming months.
