Tata Motors SOUL Rejoices At Conquering Ladakh Again !

The SOUL hits the news for the second time this year through an iconic Ladakh Drive !

I know you are confused by these headlines, so let me make things clear for you people. SOUL stands for ‘SUV Owners United League’, a group for SUV enthusiasts brought together under the patronage of Tata Motors. The car maker organizes frequent adventurous drives traversing across some of the most breath-taking landscapes, for their proud SUV owners, mainly with the intention of letting them have the right taste of their vehicles’ capabilities.

The gang is now all excited after a successful expedition to Ladakh. Exploring the unexplored, the convoy drove through the scintillating landscapes of Himachal Pradesh, starting from Chandigarh to the Land of the mystic Lamas – Ladakh. originally conceived with the motive of giving the Safari and Hexa owners a few days to cherish throughout their lives, the drive to Leh had around 1300 kilometers to munch before culminating in the snow-capped mountains.

Flagged off from Chandigarh on the third of August, the SOUL convoy, comprising 32 people in 12 vehicles, traversed through a few of the highest mountain passes in the country like the majestic Rohtang Pass, the gateway to Ladakh, the Baralachha pass which is at an altitude of 16,000 ft, Nakee La at 16500 ft, and Lachungla at 16600ft.

Driving through some real-tough terrains all day and rejoicing by  camp fires after nightfall was their way of life all these days. Getting a taste of the unparalleled beauty of the Pangong Tso, a camping night under the stars in the Himalayas, white water rafting in the Zanskar river and cooking lessons of the local culinary delicacies were all on the itinerary of the SOUL family’s ‘mountain holidays’.
