Tata Nexon EV Crosses 2000 Units Sales Mark In India!

Over 1000 units of Nexon EV were sold between September and November alone

The Tata Nexon EV could be called India’s favorite EV. Launched in January 2020, the electric Nexon has been selling like hot cake here. A few months back, Tata Motors had celebrated rolling out the 1000th Nexon EV from their plant. Now, Tata has officially told us that they have retailed as many as 2000 units of the car in India! As of November, Tata Motors has sold 2200 units of the EV. More than 1000 units were sold between September and November alone.

The Nexon EV is powered by a 30.2kWh Lithium ion battery pack spinning a 129hp electric motor, that lets out a healthy 245Nm of torque. It takes 8-9 hours for a full charge via the 15A AC setup and offers a range of 312km. You can also charge it to over 80% of the battery capacity in an hour using a DC fast charger.

The fact that such great acceptance for the Nexon EV comes in in a country where the basic EV ecosystem is still under construction is really overwhelming. The Nexon EV is not the only EV available for purchase here but is definitely one of the most affordable ones around.
