The Legendary Tata Sierra Has Been Reborn, But As An Electric Vehicle This Time Around! [Auto Expo 2020 Update]

The legendary Tata Sierra has been reborn, but as an electric vehicle (EV). Here’s more about it…

Tata motor pays off an apt tribute to the first-ever lifestyle SUV made in India – the Tata Sierra by bringing it back to the dais, suited up in an electric vehicle cloak.

The new Tata Sierra EV concept unveiled at the Autoexpo 2020, is built on the OMEGA ARC platform and abides by its forerunner on the design front. The solid, sturdy -built SUV measures 4150mm in length, 1820mm in width, 1675mm in height and a wheelbase measuring 2450mm. Sierra EV comes with a three-door configuration, with no rear door on the right and a sliding rear left door along with a curved over rear side window similar to the ’90s model.

The front fascia has sleeker LED DRLs with the fog lamps installed underneath. And for the taillamps, the boot holds a strip of LED cast across it. The large bulky alloy wheels add on to the overall muscular sculpt.

A lounge-like design has been conceived for the cabin where the front passenger seats can be rotated to face the rear. A rear bench seat is incorporated for added comfort as well. As of now, the carmaker has neither revealed the details of the Tata Sierra 2020 powertrain nor the official launch of the vehicle in the Indian market.
