Price, variants and colours
The entry-level LX variant of the Xoom 110 is priced at Rs. 68,599 (ex- showroom), while the mid-level variant, VX will cost around Rs. 71,799. The top variant, ZX is priced at Rs. 76,699. Cornering lights are not something that you often see on an Indian scooter. Well, Hero Xoom is the first scooter to introduce the cornering light tech into this segment. This tech gives the rider the extra advantage of delivering enough vision by switching in extra lighting to provide the dipped beam on tight bends, at junctions or when turning into a road. The feature will only work when the scooter is moving and uses a gyroscope and accelerometer as the signal transmitters.'
Hero Xoom comes with a number of features as it makes its way into the Indian market. Major highlights are the diamond-cut alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity with SMS alerts and notifications on the digital instrument cluster, etc. But the digital instrument cluster is only available with the top-spec ZX variant, whereas the mid- spec VX trim have the same console with a different backlight. The LX variant has a regular semi-digital cluster. Optional features like USB charger are also available.
Specification And Performance
Hero Xoom 110 uses a 110.9 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which was previously used in Pleasure Plus and Maestro Edge. It produces a power output of 8 hp at 7,250 rpm and 8.7 Nm at 5,750 rpm. i3s idle start/stop feature is installed in order to boost fuel efficiency.
The Xoom is an average weighted scooter with a kerb weight of 108 kg for LX and VX variants. The ZX variant is 1 kilo heavier than the others because of the additional 190mm disc brakes at the front. It has a seat height of 770mm, comfortable enough for short riders. It also has a 5.2L fuel tank capacity and ground clearance of 155 mm. All trims have 130mm rear drum brakes as standard while the lower LX and VX trims have 130 mm drum front brake as well. The ZX variant also offers a wider 12-inch rear alloy wheel.
