An official account confirms the disappointing news on TVS Zeppelin!
TVS Motor Company has confirmed once and for all that the TVS Zeppelin will remain a Concept. TVS had premiered the Zeppelin Concept at Auto Expo 2018, and it had grabbed many eyeballs back then.
TVS has now cleared the air by declaring the news on the official Instagram account. When an Instagram user posed the question on a possible production-spec TVS Zeppelin launch in India, TVS jumped in with the reply, “It is a concept vehicle only and not meant for production,”
Zeppelin Concept had made headlines during its showcase in 2018, as it featured a first-of-its-kind hybrid technology: A 220cc engine assisted by a 1200W motor paired to a 48V Li-ION battery. The motorcycle had also amassed applauses for its drool-worthy design. It also had some fancy features like an integrated HD camera at the front, bio-key, integrated starter generator (ISG) for improved performance, etc.
In 2020, TVS had reportedly filed for the trademark for the name Zeppelin R, making speculations run rife over the imminent arrival of a futuristic cruiser. With the announcement, however, TVS has put an end to all these theories. Or have they?!
