Many highly anticipated models, including the Curvv and Harrier EV are expected…
Tata Motors seems to be prepping for a busy 2024. The homegrown carmaker has a slew of launches lined up- the deep details of which are yet to surface. Here is the full list of upcoming Tata Cars in India 2024- including ICE models, EVs, and new and facelift cars. In addition to the confirmed ones, we have also included a few probable launches.
Upcoming Tata Cars In India
Tata Punch Facelift
Introduced in 2021 as a volume seller, the Tata punch successfully carved out a new niche under the Nexon, and we anticipate that in 2024, Tata Motors could give this product a notable facelift- the first major update since inception featuring changes both on the inside and outside, along with several feature upgrades like a larger touchscreen. Mechanically, we don’t expect any changes on the facelift.
Expected Price: Rs. 9.50 – 12.50 Lakh.
Tata Punch EV
Tata Motors is set to launch the Punch EV in late January 2024, with a revised front end similar to the Nexon facelift. The electric Punch, a Gen-2 EV in itself, is expected to borrow the battery pack from the Nexon EV Max. There could be two distinct versions to the electric Punch- medium range and long range.
It could offer similar power and torque figures as the Tigor EV and a real-world driving range of 350-ish km per charge. Upon launch, it will rival the Citroen eC3, but with more features and better equipment.
The Punch EV could also get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, illuminated steering wheel, and touch-based climate control. Tata could offer the top variants with ADAS for enhanced safety.
Expected Price: 12-14 lakh
Tata Curvv EV
Tata will launch the Curvv EV in 2024. This electric SUV coupe will sit between the Nexon and the upcoming Harrier EVs. It will have many of the features from Nexon.EV, including a big touchscreen infotainment system, touch-activated climate control, and Automatic Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). We anticipate that the Curvv EV will come with multiple battery pack choices and more power than the Nexon, with a claimed range of more than 500 km.
Expected Price: Rs 20 lakh
Tata Curvv
The ICE version of Tata Curvv will follow the EV. Expect the launch by mid-2024. The petrol Curvv will get most of the features from the EV. Expect the likes of a large touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, etc. The most important highlight, however, is Tata’s new 1.2L TGDI, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that will debut on the Curvv. Expected gearboxes are 6MT and 7DCT.
Expected Price: 11 lakh onwards
New Tata Nexon Dark Edition Facelift
Yes, the Nexon facelift is already on sale- packing a lot of changes and a lot more equipment. But the much-adored #Dark edition is yet to join the game. The carmaker is expected to launch the facelifted Nexon Dark edition in 2024. It could have familiar highlights like Black alloys, grille and multiple #Dark badges.
Expected Price: Rs 15 lakh
Tata Altroz Facelift
Tata Altroz is indeed ageing and awaiting a half-generation update. The premium hatchback hasn’t had any notable updates since its market debut in 2020. The facelift could bring a lot of changes to the Altroz like a more modern design, key cabin improvements, a bigger touchscreen, and more tech.
Tata Altroz Racer
Tata could also launch the Altroz Racer along with the facelift. Showcased at the Delhi auto expo, the Altroz Racer is a highly sportier rendition of the hatchback. The show car had a 1.2L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine that churns out 120hp and 170 Nm. The same is expected in the production form.
Much of the changes on the facelifted Altroz are expected to make their way into the ‘Racer’ as well. The Expo car also had a sunroof and a digital driver display, adding more flavour to the anticipation for the production form.
It remains to be seen if the ‘Racer’ will debut as a variant or a standalone model. To give you more context, the Altroz already has a turbo-petrol version- the iTurbo. When launched, the Altroz Racer will compete with the likes of the Hyundai i20 N Line.
Expected Price: 10 lakh
Tata Harrier EV
The Harrier EV will be launched as the carmaker’s electric flagship, sometime in 2024. It will borrow its key design cues and most of the equipment from the new Harrier SUV. Featuring a dual motor setup and AWD, the Harrier EV is expected to deliver around 500 km in range. It will also come with V2L and V2V charging abilities.
Expected Price: 30 lakh
