The present price of the VW T ROC is solely introductory though…
Volkswagen has finally launched the much-awaited Volkswagen T ROC SUV in India. It’s a wait of over two and a half years that has now come to fruition. The premium compact SUV goes on sale for INR 19.99 lakh, which by the way, is known to be an introductory price.
Built on the MQB platform, the T-Roc offers decent room on the inside. There is even a pleasant 445L of boot space in this 4.2m long SUV. It gets all the modern-day attention-snatchers like LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, panoramic sunroof, 11.7 inch fully digital instrument cluster, etc.
There are a bunch of effective safety tech onboard, like Electronic Stabilisation Programme, Electronic Differential lock, Anti-slip regulation,motor-Schleppmoment-Regelung ( engine drag torque control), Hill-start Assist and 6 airbags.'
The VW Troc comes powered by a 1.5L TSI-Evo engine with ACT. This turbo petrol mill will let out as much as 150 hp and 250 Nm and is mated to the familiar 7 speed DSG. The global iteration of this SUV gets the 4MOTION permanent AWD system, while the Indian guise chooses to go with 2WD.
The Volkswagen T ROC India lifecycle is expected to be rather short, as the carmaker is set to launch the 2021 VW Taigun later next year. We think of this as an experimental model as of now. The VW T-ROC will battle the likes of Hyundai Kona, Renault Captur and the upcoming Honda HRV in India.
