The 2019 Ford Ecosport Thunder Edition can be yours for an ex. showroom price of INR 10.18 lakhs
Ford Ecosport is one car that has been selling good numbers in India since inception. A recent update to this compact SUV ensured that the car remains fresh and appealing to its intended buyers for another couple of years!

In order to further spice up the Ford Ecosport 2019 lineup, the carmaker has now brought out a feature-loaded Thunder Edition of the compact SUV. While the regular Ford Ecosport price starts at INR 769,000, (thanks be to the increased localization of production) this special edition would come to you for a slightly higher INR 10.18 lakh for the petrol and INR 10.68 lakhs for the diesel.
The Ford Ecosport Thunder Edition stands out from the regular car with the additional equipment, smart styling tweaks, and added features onboard. The dark inserts on the headlamp unit and the black treatment of the fog lamp bezels help other bits as the new 17-inch alloy wheels, blackened front grille and RVMs, dual tone bonnet and the door decals, well enough to impart an overall air of sportiness and aggressiveness to the car.
The interiors too are sporty and appealing with generous use of cognac accents in a number of places inside, from seats and door inserts to the centre console and even the instrument panel. This has also upped the premium appeal of the interiors.
Talking about the features and equipment, the Ford Ecosport Thunder Edition gets an electric sunroof and Ford’s smart in-car connectivity system, paired to a 9-inch floating touchscreen, which also has embedded navigation. This infotainment system, as you might recall, provides the convenience of doing things through mere voice commands! (In fact, this system is a standard fitment on all variants of the regular car, except the entry-level ‘Ford Ecosport Ambiente’)
The Thunder Edition is available as an option pack in just the Titanium variant, but in both the petrol and diesel guises. This essentially means that the Thunder Edition has as its heart, either the familiar 1.5 L 1.5L three-cylinder TiVCT petrol engine or the absolutely capable 1.5L TDCi diesel mill. The globally renowned 1.0L EcoBoost petrol motor, does not find a place in the Thunder Edition, as it is available in just the Ecosport S variant. Being limited to just the Titanium variant, the Thunder Edition misses out on the 6-speed automatic transmission as well.
