The 2020 Triumph Tiger 900 would be offered in three variants
All new tiger 900 was expected to go on sale in early April, but due to the present Covid-19 pandemic, the manufacturer has postponed it to June and finally it is all set to go on sale by 19 June.
New Tiger 900 replaces the already popular Tiger 800 in India. As the manufacturer claims it, Tiger 900 is a quantum leap forward in capability for maximum adventure in every ride. Pre-bookings have started with Indian dealers starting at 50,000 INR.
The present version of the tiger is completely a new motorcycle and is expected to be available in 3 different variants (GT Pro, Rally and Rally Pro). All these variants will be powered by a 888 cc Triple cylinder engine which is having a revised firing order of 1-3-2 now. This engine produces a raspier exhaust note and will feature a new character. The power output remains the same as the previous engine 94 bhp @ 8750 rpm, but the torque figures have gone up by 10% to 87nm at 7250 rpm.
“Pro” models are the top variants which are equipped with top of the line equipment. Pro versions feature heated seats for rider and pillion, 7 inch TFT display, Quick shifter, tyre pressure monitor system, my Triumph connectivity system, and different riding modes. Tiger 900 rally sits below the pro version with a host of decent equipment, It shares the same 7 inch TFT display, adjustable suspension, and tubeless wired spokes as the Rally Pro variant.
The prices of the 2020 tiger 900 is expected to go up by 60,000 compared to the outgoing model.
