BMW 740 Li Individual Edition is manufactured in BMW Group’s Chennai facility
BMW India has launched the more exclusive Individual edition on the 7 Series nameplate. The 7 series individual edition is now available as the ‘BMW Individual 740 Li M Sport Edition’, with a sticker price of around 1.43 crores. Limited numbers would be available for you to grab at the BMW Online Shop.
BMW’s ‘Individual’ Program offers high degrees of personalization opportunities to the customers. The individual range offers premium trims, and colors that are not available on the standard counterparts. In the past, BMW individual edition cars were manufactured in their German plant alone. However, later the manufacturing of these vehicles expanded to foreign plants as well. The 740 Li Individual edition that has just gone on sale here, is manufactured at the Chennai facility.
BMW Individual 740Li M Sport Edition: What’s Different?
- The BMW 740 Li Individual Edition is available in two exclusive BMW Individual paintworks- Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey.
- The car gets Adaptive LED headlamps with BMW Laser Light technology, signature M Sport exterior design, and exclusive optional BMW individual 20 inch light alloy wheels (V spoke Style 628) finished in bicolour, and 20 inch M light alloy wheels (Star spoke style 817 M).
- The cabin offers a lot of personalization opportunities. Premium leather Nappa is used in the upholstery and is finished in Mocha and Back scheme. The headrests and backrests get specially crafted BMW Individual Alcantara which offers a customizable embroidery. The owner can have his brand/personal insignia embroidered in the car. You might remember seeing this on multiple Luxury saloons like Rolls Royces and Maybachs.
- Other highlights inside the cabin include multiple ‘Individual’ badges and insignia, BMW Individual-spec Alcantara headliner in Ivory White and Canberra Beige, and the new fine-wood trim that gives the premium quotient massive hikes.
The 740Li individual edition gets almost all the other equipment and features from the standard 7 series.
Mechanicals
At the heart of the BMW Individual 740Li M Sport Edition is the mighty 3.0L, 6-cylinder Twin-turbo petrol engine, producing 340hp and 450 Nm. The transmission on offer is an 8 speed Steptronic automatic unit. The 740 Li M Sport can sprint to triple-digit speeds from a standstill in just 5.6 seconds. It also gets adaptive air suspension as standard and has various driver aids like BMW Driving Assistant, Parking Assistant, Reversing assistant etc.
The safety technology lineup is quite long as well, including the likes of six airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer, and crash sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting and integrated emergency spare wheel under the load floor.
