2021 BMW S1000 R Launched From INR 17.90 Lakh

The all-new BMW S1000 R comes with a slew of visual upgrades!

BMW Motorrad launched the S 1000 R 2021 in India from INR 17.90 lakh. The roadster gets a bunch of visual upgrades for 2021. The all new S1000R comes in three different variants- Standard, Pro and Pro M Sport. These are priced at INR 17.90 lakh, 19.75 lakh, and 22.50 lakh respectively.

The 2021 BMW S 1000 R gets the highly desirable ‘tail up-nose down’ design. It ditches BMW’s signature asymmetrical headlamp design and gets a single piece LED unit. One could draw visual inclinations to the BMW F900R. It gets a redrawn fuel tank with refreshed tank cover, reversible handlebar clamp, belly pan, refreshed body panels, and stylish radiator guard. The tail end resembles that of the S1000RR and has similar exhaust design as well.

The new S1000R has Racing Red as its standard shade, while the Style Sport and M package variants get the M Motorsport paint. The Style Sport option has the Hockerheim Silver metallic as its basic shade while the components finished MAtt Copper and grey anodized parts strike stark contrast. As a first in the entire BMW Motorrad lineup, the S1000R gets the iconic colours of M 1000 RR. The M Motorsport paint is, as obvious, exclusive to the M Package. The new S1000 R gets 6.5 inch TFT display, selectable drive modes, Dynamic Brake Control, BMW Motorrad connectivity app and more.

2021 BMW S1000R is built on a new frame and has a new powerhouse as well. The Flex Frame and the improved suspension give better rideability and handling. The bike has become 5 kilos lighter than its predecessor. At 199 kilograms, it is in fact, the lightest liter class roadster. The top-spec variant gets additional Carbon fiber hoops and forged wheels, shavig off some extra chunks of weight.

The 999cc inline 4 engine on this bike is brand new and produces 165 hp adn 115 Nm. It comes mated to a 6 speed constant mesh transmission. 0-100 kmph sprint is done in 3.2seconds and the top speed is 250 km/h!
